Pain  Management  Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner

Bend, Oregon

 

Summit Health is seeking a Pain  Management APP who would like the opportunity to join a thriving practice within a financially secure, physician-driven, multispecialty setting. 

 

As an expansion of Summit Health’s Pain  ManagementDepartment, we are seeking a PA or NP to join our growing Pain  Management Department. Our team works closely with primary care and other medical and surgical specialties to provide excellent quality care to members of our community. Our team consists of  two fellowship trained Pain  Management physicians, three APP’s, and is supported by a strong care team and support services. Procedures are performed in clinic and outpatient surgical services at an efficient, physician-owned ASC. The Pain  Management team is supported by an excellent and collaborative hospitalist team, and enjoys referrals from a primary care group of over  47 providers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Patient appointments with diagnoses and treatment of chronic pain and orthopedic conditions
  • Prescribing controlled substances, reviewing and implementing pain contracts
  • Coordination of care and referral to related specialties such as neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology, and psychiatry
  • Providing wellness services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients
  • Ordering diagnostic tests, imaging review/interpretation interpreting lab results including drug screens and medication management 
  • Ordering procedures including joint injections, spinal injections, radiofrequency ablations, PRP, , spinal cord stimulators etc. 
  • Performs minor procedures, steroid injections, ultrasound guided injections, botox
