Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner, Outpatient Orthopedics (40)

This Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

• Comprehensive care of subspecialty team patients as well as orthopedic trauma/fracture patients.
• Treating new and established patients, interpretation of diagnostic imaging, pre-op and post-op appointments, and coordination of care.
• Managing acute and chronic orthopedic conditions that span infant to young adult age groups.
• Clinic coverage could be across all BCH locations including: Boston, Waltham, Weymouth, Peabody and Needham
• Working four 10-hour shifts per week with built in administrative time

To qualify, you must have:

• Masters Degree from a Physician Assistant program or a Masters Degree in Nursing
• Previous experience as a PA/NP in pediatrics, orthopedics or other related area is strongly preferred
• A strong desire to work in the pediatric orthopedic setting.
• Ability to work in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) and ambulatory staff is essential.
• Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.
• Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
• A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant or as a PNP or FNP

**Sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 for fulltime (40 hours) NP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
