Family Nurse Practitioner (Remote)

Job Title: Telehealth Nurse Practitioner
Location: Remote (Must be licensed in MA, FL, OH, and MD)
Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, includes every other weekend; availability for one major and one minor holiday per year required

Position Summary

The Telehealth Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Provider) is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients aged 18 months and above via a remote technology platform. Working independently, yet collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the provider will assess, diagnose, treat, counsel, and manage a broad range of health conditions. All patient encounters are documented in an electronic health record (EHR).

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient-Centered Quality and Safety

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute, chronic, and transitional health needs.

• Provide education and counseling on preventive health topics, including pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and contraceptive care.

• Document all patient care activities in the EHR per policies and procedures.

• Coordinate care with internal and external colleagues to ensure continuity and quality.

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members, including providers, pharmacists, and support staff.

2. Customer Service Excellence

• Provide exceptional virtual patient care and support.

• Tailor communication for optimal patient understanding and satisfaction.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA/PHI regulations.

3. Healthcare Environment Management

• Manage clinic operations remotely, including follow-ups, phone calls, supply ordering, and results handling.

• Quickly adopt new service offerings and telehealth protocols.

• Foster a positive, professional, and efficient work environment.

4. Business Acumen

• Support clinic-level business goals through efficient documentation and revenue cycle tasks.

• Ensure accurate insurance verification, payment collection, and billing processes.

• Take ownership of practice performance and contribute to business planning efforts.

5. Autonomy

• Work independently with minimal supervision while practicing sound clinical judgment.

• Engage in professional development and remain current on industry practices.

• Exhibit professionalism, adaptability, and initiative in all responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medically relevant clinical experience.

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in MA, FL, OH, and MD.

• National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (if applicable).

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• High-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload).

• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

• Proficient with technology and remote health platforms.

Education

• Master’s Degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

• National certification required (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, etc.).

Work Schedule

• Evening shifts: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

• Includes working every other weekend.

• Must be available to work one major holiday and one minor holiday annually.

• Initial training schedule may differ and will be communicated during onboarding.
