Physician Assistant

Position Summary:

The Physician Assistant delivers defined patient care services in a retail clinic environment. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of professionals to independently provide holistic, evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients aged 18 months and older. Care documentation is completed via electronic health records. This position reports to the Senior Practice Manager.

This role is intended to be contract-to-hire; however, conversion is not guaranteed.

Physician Assistants will work with a clinical care team to provide evidence-based care to a panel of patients, aiming to improve outcomes through accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, counseling, and disposition planning. This role reports to the practice manager.

Duties:

• Educate patients on maintaining proper health to support quality outcomes.

• Evaluate, recommend, co-manage, and treat patients’ medical needs to ensure safe, high-quality care.

• Document all patient care within an electronic health record system.

• Assist in developing Patient Centered Practice Teams and respond to patient care inquiries throughout the day.

• Increase patient engagement and satisfaction by integrating feedback from patients, management, and colleagues.

• Maintain effective communication across all levels.

• Manage conflict using appropriate techniques and foster positive relationships among practice employees and retail colleagues.

• Balance priorities to address both clinical and non-clinical patient care needs.

• Adapt to new patient care models to improve clinic efficiency.

• Demonstrate core values in all communications and interactions.

• Participate in hiring and development of practice employees.

• Enhance operational effectiveness with an emphasis on cost containment without compromising innovation or quality of care.

• Validate insurance coverage and incorporate this information into patient care plans.

Experience:

• Minimum 1+ year of professional experience as a Physician Assistant.

• DEA application may be required at time of offer.

Education:

• Completion of a Master’s Degree level Physician Assistant program.

• Current National Board Certification and State license to practice as a Physician Assistant required.

Schedule:

• Every other weekend required.

• Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
