Job Title: Part-Time Instructional Faculty - Physician Assistant Program Job Description Summary:

Instructional Faculty in the Physician Assistant Program are responsible for delivering high-quality didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical skills instruction that supports the Program's mission, learning outcomes, and accreditation standards. Faculty in this role contribute clinical expertise, evidence-based teaching, and learner-centered instruction to prepare PA students for competent, ethical, and patient-centered practice.

Instructional Faculty work collaboratively with Program leadership and faculty to support curriculum delivery while adhering to institutional policies and accreditation requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA-C).
  • Eligibility for licensure or current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience in the instructional content area.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in an academic environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during laboratory or skills-based instruction.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Ability to demonstrate clinical skills and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience in PA, medical, or allied health education.
  • Experience with lecturing or clinical skills teaching.
  • Familiarity with competency-based education, assessment strategies, and educational technology.
