POSITION SUMMARYThe Physician Assistant (PA) will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team within the Inpatient Medicine program at CHEO working with the Division of Pediatric Medicine. In this role, the PA will provide comprehensive care to hospitalized children by conducting detailed clinical assessments, implementing medical directives, coordinating appropriate diagnostic investigations, and assisting with a variety of procedures and interventions. The PA will actively participate in family-centered rounds and collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to review and manage patient cases. This position offers an opportunity to play a meaningful role in delivering high-quality, patient and family-centered pediatric care in a supportive team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS- Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
- Graduate of a recognized Physician Assistant Program (Essential)
- Previous experience in related field (Essential)
- Current appropriate level of life-support training (e.g., BCLS) with commitment to complete Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Essential)
- Ability to work in a busy clinical environment with capacity to assist with patient care in a manner that emphasizes quality and safety (Essential)
- Demonstrated leadership and strong organizational skills (Essential)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly both verbally and in writing (Essential)

Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, lAM fournit des soins complets aux enfants en hospitalisation en effectuant des evaluations cliniques detaillees, en mettant en uvre des directives medicales, en coordonnant les examens diagnostiques appropries et en participant a une variete dinterventions. LAM participe activement a des tournees hospitalieres axees sur la famille et collabore etroitement avec les medecins et lequipe interdisciplinaire pour examiner et gerer les cas.
