Per Diem NP Home Health Newport, North Carolina

Bring your expertise as a Nurse Practitioner to a dynamic per diem opportunity focused on home health risk assessments with a Medicare Advantage health plan. This role allows for flexible scheduling throughout Carteret County, NCincluding Morehead City, Beaufort, and Newport. Youll play a meaningful part in supporting patient health without the pressure of treatment plans or prescribing.

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts available Monday through Sunday
• Create your own schedule
• Minimum weekly or bi-weekly hourly commitment

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform annual home health risk assessments for Medicare Advantage members at their residences
• Assess prior and current medical history, existing medical conditions, and medication usage
• Offer patient education on diagnosed conditions and prescribed medications
• Identify care gaps and recommend solutions to optimize patient wellness
• Focus solely on assessmentno treatment planning or prescribing required

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
• Current CPR certification (BLS)
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)
• Minimum of six months recent NP experience preferred
• MSN from an accredited nursing program

This position provides compensation of $80-$90 per evaluation, plus a mileage stipend and additional compensation for administrative time.
