Gibbs Cancer Center & Research Institute, part of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our well established, collaborative Hematology/Oncology team in Upstate South Carolina. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice high-quality, patient-centered oncology care within a nationally recognized cancer program.

About the Cancer Program

• Commission on Cancer accredited

• American College of Radiology accredited

• ASCO QOPI Certified Practice

• National Cancer Institute (NCI) NCORP designation

• Multidisciplinary care model with site-specific tumor boards

• actively onboarding CAR-T options

• Advanced technology including:

• Four linear accelerators o CyberKnife system

• New $65 million state-of-the-art cancer center in Greer, SC

• Comprehensive network serving a 10-county region (1.6M population)

• well established and respected Cancer program with over a 40 year history in the community

Practice Overview

*Primary location: Spartanburg, SC with three outreach clinics across our service area

* Collaborative team of 8 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers

* Strong support staff and integrated care model

* Epic EMR across the system

* Participation in multidisciplinary clinics and tumor boards

Position Highlights

* Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule

* Rotating call: (weekday and weekend)

* Mix of clinic-based care with inpatient support as applicable

* Opportunity to work across hematology and solid tumor oncology populations

* Highly collaborative, team-based environment focused on quality and patient outcomes

Candidate Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

* Oncology experience strongly preferred

* 2-3 years of APP experience preferred

* New graduates may be considered with prior oncology training or not
