General Physician Assistant Job in Potsdam, New York

[Not Provided] Join a growing hematology/oncology team in Potsdam, NY for a 6-month locum tenens assignment focused on outpatient care. You'll work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with no on-call responsibilities. What you'll be doing Provide outpatient hematology/oncology coverage and occasional inpatient consults as needed. Evaluate and manage adult oncology patients (roughly 18-20 patients per day) across a general hematology and oncology case mix. Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and adjust treatment plans. Keep accurate, timely documentation in Epic (AI-assisted charting available). The setting and support Primarily an outpatient oncology clinic with occasional inpatient consults. 15 infusion chairs; typical daily patient volume around 18-20. Team includes 1 MD, 1 NP, and 3 CMA/CNA support staff. Epic EMR experience required. Requirements & compliance Active New York license required. Board Eligible or Board Certified accepted. Updated work history required with no gaps greater than 30 days. Hospital privileges required (credentialing timeline TBD). If there is any malpractice history (dismissed or active), a physician statement will be required. Compensation & logistics Rate: TBD. Overtime paid after 40 hours/week.
