Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Coverage Needed :

• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• End Date: 12/31/2026
• Schedule:
  • Weekdays: Mon-Fri, 8a-5p with weeknight call
  • Weekends: 24-Hour On Call 7a-7a
• Open Dates:
  • August 10 - 12 8a-5p all days
  • August 13 - 16 8a-5p and night call, 24-hour call for the 15th and 16th ending at 0700 on the 17th
  • October 5 - 11 8a-5p and night call, 24-hour call for the 10th and 11th ending at 0800 on the 12th
  • October 26 - 31, 8a-5p and night call, 24-hour call on the 31st ending at 0700 on Nov 1st
  • November 23 - 28, 8a-5p and night call, 24-hour call on the 26th and 28th, ending at 0700 on the 29th
  • December 21 - 31, 8a-5p and night call, 24-hour call on the 26th and 27th

Clinical Details :

• Level 2 trauma facility
• Call ratio: 1:2
• Averages 125 CABG cases/year (few are emergent)

Requirements :

• Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Cardiothoracic surgery and EVH experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Surgery experience
• Active IA License
• Availability to cover the listed dates
• Clean Malpractice/Background
• Self-Query NPDB Report pulled within 30 days at time of presentation
