This organization is committed to providing accessible, patient-centered care and is incorporating dermatology into multiple clinic locations to better serve local communities. They are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with dermatology experience to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values continuity of care, meaningful patient relationships, and making a direct impact in underserved communities. Position Overview The provider will focus exclusively on medical dermatology and will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide variety of skin conditions while collaborating with supervising physicians. This role emphasizes evidence-based care, patient education, and long-term community impact. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin examinations Diagnose and manage conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, and other skin disorders Identify and treat precancerous and cancerous lesions including AK, BCC, SCC, and melanoma within scope of practice Perform dermatology procedures including: Shave biopsies Punch biopsies Excisional biopsies Cryotherapy Lesion removal Wound care and post-procedure management Order and interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic testing Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines Educate patients on skin health, prevention, and treatment expectations Maintain accurate EMR documentation Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards Qualifications Master's Degree from an accredited NP or PA program Active North Carolina NP or PA License National Certification required Minimum of 1 year of dermatology experience required Strong diagnostic and procedural skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting Preferred Qualifications Dermatology certification or willingness to pursue certification after hire Experience performing biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal procedures Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems Passion for rural healthcare and improving access to specialty care Work Environment Collaborative and patient-focused dermatology team Modern clinical setting with dermatology-specific tools and equipment Opportunity to build long-term patient relationships Meaningful impact within underserved communities
