Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job ID: 88357 Location: Grove, Wisconsin Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary and urgent healthcare services within a correctional healthcare setting. What you will be doing: Perform comprehensive health assessments, physical examinations, and medical evaluations. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice and organizational guidelines. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. Provide preventive care, health education, and wellness counseling. Manage chronic disease programs, including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and other ongoing medical conditions. Respond to urgent and emergent healthcare situations as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, mental health professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities. Ensure care is delivered in accordance with correctional healthcare standards and applicable state regulations. What you must have: Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Wisconsin (or ability to obtain). Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority. Current BLS certification. Minimum of one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience. Nice to have: Previous correctional healthcare experience. Primary care, family practice, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, or occupational health experience. Experience working with diverse and underserved populations.
