DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works within and performs functions as outlined in the IHSC Psychiric Advanced PracticeProvider Collaborive Practice and Prescriptive Authority Agreement and the IHSCformulary.
Delivers comprehensive psychiric care to detainees through utilizion oftelecommunicions and informion technology to provide access to psychiric trementacross distance via scheduled appointments, emergent, or urgent care s.
Consults with the Clinical Director/psychirist for complex psychiric pients and asrequired by IHSC policy.
Provides integred, consultive care including, but not limited to admission, discharge, and daily rounds for detainees th require higher levels of psychiric care or close monitoring.
Collabores with members of the clinical services team to coordine holistic,integred pient care delivery.
Performs thorough psychiric evaluions and inities individualized trement plans fordetainees as required by IHSC policy, or as required based on detainee psychiriccomplaint.
Follows IHSC policies in the management of significant mental illness includingprevention of violence, homicide, self-harm, and suicide.
Demonstres discipline approprie applicion of clinical knowledge within documentedtrement plans, to include psychopharmacological and non-pharmacological, therapeutictrement modalities.
Coordines psychiric care needs of detainees including referrals to off-site consultants.
Solicits and reviews pertinent psychiric records as indiced.
Interprets diagnostic and laborory results when required for psychiric evaluions.
Provides relevant pient educion to detainees verbally and/or with handouts.
Ensures pient confidentiality and privacy of medical records.
Mentors psychiric APP onboarding and training.
Actively participes in interdisciplinary training of IHSC staff.
Participes in the psychiric APP credentialing and peer review process.
Assists in program development, policy review and revisions, and da collection.
Attends on-site, regional, and nional meetings as required.
Completes all initial, annual, and ad hoc training as required.
Assists with preparion for accredition and ongoing compliance with standards.

Physician Assistant (PA)- Requires unrestricted PA ste license andnional board certificion through the Nional Commission onCertificion of Physician Assistants. SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
1. The incumbent functions under the clinical supervision of the designed collaboring psychirist.
2. The incumbent is administrively supervised by the Chief Psychirist.
3. Clinical assignments are usually of a long-term, recurring, or broadly defined nure. The officer plans and organizes their own work, determines prioritizion of assignments, and seeks assistance as needed. Work is reviewed for tainment of objectives, completeness of documention, and productivity through chart reviews conducted by collaboring psychirist, supervisor, and/or peers. The officer uses judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines such as policies, standards, regulions, precedents, and work direction for applicion to specific cases.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
A minimum of 3-5 years of full-time experience as a Psychiric APP in direct pientcare required.
Knowledge of training methods and sufficient interpersonal skills to develop a rapport withdetainees and co-workers when instructional and educional informion is presented.
Nurse Practitioner- Requires unrestricted PMHNP ste license and nional boardcertificion through the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) - Current licensure as a PMHNP by a Ste, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United Stes - PMHNP degree from a gradue school of professional nursing accredited by the Commission on Collegie Nursing Educion (CCNE) or the Accredition Commission for Educion in Nursing (ACEN), typically a Master or Doctorial level educion - PMHNP board certificion by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Physician Assistant (PA)- Requires unrestricted PA ste license andnional board certificion through the Nional Commission onCertificion of Physician Assistants. Current licensure as a PA by a Ste,the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territoryof the United Stes.- Gradue from a PA program accredited by the Accredition ReviewCommission on Educion for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).- Certifice of Added Qualificion in Psychiry from the NCCPA - required.
Maintains a current license and meets continuing educion requirements for the Ste(s)licensed in (It is the responsibility of the incumbent to fulfill the obligion(s) of their licensing or certifying body to maintain currency. This position required to perform clinical activities within the scope of licensure).

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS:
1. The incumbent functions under the clinical supervision of the designed collaboring psychirist.
2. The incumbent is administrively supervised by the Chief Psychirist.
3. Clinical assignments are usually of a long-term, recurring, or broadly defined nure. The officer plans and organizes their own work, determines prioritizion of assignments, and seeks assistance as needed. Work is reviewed for tainment of objectives, completeness of documention, and productivity through chart reviews conducted by collaboring psychirist, supervisor, and/or peers. The officer uses judgment in interpreting and adapting guidelines such as policies, standards, regulions, precedents, and work direction for applicion to specific cases.
4. The officer analyzes results and recommends changes in clinical guidelines and program policies. Modificions to accepted procedures must be approved and clearly document
5. The officer keeps the supervisor informed of the stus of projects and consults with him/her on any significant problems encountered.
