We are seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dynamic Gastroenterology team based in Meridian, Idaho , with coverage across Boise and Nampa .
This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care and inpatient GI management , focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum.
The ideal provider will bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to a multidisciplinary GI team. Prior gastroenterology experience is preferred, but motivated candidates from acute care, family medicine, urgent care, women s health, or cardiology are encouraged to apply.
Location Meridian, Idaho
Coverage areas: Boise & Nampa, ID
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical exams
- Review medical histories and assess GI conditions
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic testing (labs & imaging)
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders
- Prescribe and manage treatment plans and medications
- Provide patient education on GI health, procedures, and prevention
- Ensure continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient settings
- Maintain accurate documentation (EPIC experience preferred)
- Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and care teams
- Participate in ongoing learning and clinical development
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Active or eligible Idaho license
- Master s degree required (Doctorate is a plus )
- Minimum 1 year of Gastroenterology experience required
- Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Excellent patient communication and education abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Understanding of healthcare compliance and documentation standards
- Clinic Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Inpatient coverage: Rotating schedule based on needs
- Occasional night call may be required
