Job Summary

The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for performing Surveillance exams, evaluating and treating occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, managing acute medical conditions within Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, and managing electronic medical records.

Education & Experience

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Nursing and passed the NCLEX-PN examination
  • Active Nurse Practitioner licensure
  • License in good standing
  • Certification with a nationally accredited affiliation
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner Certification strongly preferred

Experience:

  • 10-15 years of professional Nurse Practitioner experience
  • Experience working in an Occupational Health Clinic preferred
  • Experience with performing OSHA surveillance exams preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Evaluating patients for return to work and work readiness
  • Proven experience treating acute illnesses/injuries and chronic disease management
  • Developing safety plans for the work environment
