Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP Preferred) | Full-time - Flexible Schedule |Laurel Run, PA

Join an established behavioral health program providing detoxification, residential substance use treatment, and residential mental health services for adults with complex psychiatric and addiction-related needs.

We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred, FNP considered) to provide medical and psychiatric care across our 64-bed behavioral health campus. Working alongside an experienced Medical Director and multidisciplinary treatment team, you'll treat patients with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and complex medical needs while helping individuals build a foundation for lasting recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and substance use assessments, including history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Diagnose and treat substance use disorders, co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and common medical comorbidities.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical best practices.
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including psychiatric medications and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in accordance with approved protocols.
  • Review laboratory results, monitor patient progress, and coordinate referrals or specialty consultations as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide integrated care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment recommendations, medications, recovery, and wellness.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, utilization review activities, and level-of-care determinations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and infection control standards.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license
  • Current PMHNP or FNP certification
  • DEA registration
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum one (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience
  • Knowledge of ASAM criteria and levels of care

Preferred:

  • PMHNP certification
  • Experience working with adults in detoxification, residential treatment, inpatient psychiatry, addiction medicine, or other behavioral health settings is strongly preferred
  • Experience treating patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric medication management
