We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to take on front-line responsibility in our Neuro ICU. Together, we use our expertise and compassion to deliver the highest level of care imaginable, experiencing all the reasons we entered this noble field. The Weill Cornell Medicine Brain and Spine medical and surgical team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is a leader in high-tech computerized diagnostic and treatment methods, treating the full spectrum of neurological diseasesfrom brain and spine tumors to stroke, aneurysms, cerebrovascular disorders, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, MS, and other movement disorders.

Responsibilities:

As a Neurology Intensive Care Unit PA at NYP Queens Hospital, you will manage all aspects of care for patients on the neurology team, including management of complex neurocritical care patients and responding to neurological emergencies.

Schedule:

This position requires working three (3) 12.5-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. You must be comfortable supporting Neurology coverage at the hospital.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Neurology experience preferred

  • Critical Care experience preferred

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies

  • Minimum of 2 years of Physician Assistant experience (Critical Care experience desired)

  • Current NYS licensure

  • NCCPA certification

  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) registration number

  • ACLS/BLS certification
