Job Description
Coverage Needed
- Start Date: 03/30/2026
- End Date: 10/03/2026
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Clinical Details
- Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to incarcerated individuals
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Manage preventive care and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, physical examinations, and medical histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Provide vaccinations and promote preventive care measures
- Monitor and manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, HIV/AIDS, and Hepatitis C
- Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility
- Collaborate with specialty care providers for consultations and referrals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to patient confidentiality regulations
Requirements
- One (1) year of professional nursing experience
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Current licensure and/or certification as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with training in family practice in New Mexico
- A valid driver's license
- US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
- English proficiency: Read, Write, Speak
- Must live outside of a 70 mile radius from site
