Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Cardiovascular Care
Location: near Bethesda, MD
Start Date: 5/18/2026
Contract Length: 4 6 months; potential extension

Schedule

Four 10 hour shifts per week (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Exact days of the week pending
No call
Full time schedule

Practice Details

Inpatient cardiovascular service
Adults only population
Patient volume: 2 10 patients/day
Coverage required 4 days/week, including weekends and holidays
Support staff on service (hospital based CV team)
EMR: Cerner + Change Healthcare cardiology PACS
Routine CV inpatient workflow: pre procedure assessments, post procedure care, and follow up calls

Clinical Scope

Manage adult inpatient cardiovascular patients
Conduct consult workups and follow-up evaluations
Provide post procedure care and monitoring
Complete follow up phone calls with patients as required
Collaborate with cardiovascular team for care coordination
Document care and workflow in Cerner

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
Active state NP license required
DEA required
CSR required
AHA BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 1 2 years of inpatient experience (cardiology preferred)
PAs accepted only if holding a master s degree (per facility rules)
