Hartford HealthCare, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, has a new growth opportunity for an Occupional Health Advanced Practitioner to join our growing team to provide coverage GMR Corpcare Occupional Health a division of Manchester Memorial Hospital, loced in South Windsor, CT

Some highlights of this opportunity include:

A Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treing pients with the guidance of a Medical Doctor. Their duties include prescribing medicions, recording pient vital signs, and monitoring diagnostic tests to determine the source of the pients symptoms for workers compension; and determining physical clearances based on employment requirements.

Performs diagnostic procedures including physical, neurologic and orthopedic examinions, laborory tests other procedures when approprie.

Performs non-urgent procedures such as lacerions, orthopedic, wound care, and make external referrals for medical management when approprie.

Understanding of medical billing and coding.

Competent in medical documention and EMR applicions.

Knowledgeable in ste and federal regulions, OSHA, HIPAA, and others

Experienced in occupional health practices (CME qualificions, drug testing protocols, DOT and non-DOT regulions)

Shift Full Time 40 hours

Qualificions

Advanced Practitioner Requirements

Gradue of an accredited Nurse Practitioner/PA program

Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner/PA in the ste of Connecticut .

Experience in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Hospitalist, ER, Urgent Care and Orthopedics a plus.

CT Controlled Substance Registrion and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificion

Must be willing to obtain Certificion as a Medical Examiner for the Nional Registry for Federal Commercial Drivers license.
