Sunnyside Community Hospital: (A Regional Health Affiliate) Our hospital has a 24-hour emergency room, 7 bed Intensive Care Unit, Medical Surgical Floor, Family Birth Center, Operating Rooms, Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging (3D Mammography, X-Ray, CT Scan, new state-of-the-art MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Density Scan). Other services include cardiology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and diabetes education. •The hospital is a private, non-profit facility owned by the Sunnyside Community Hospital Association. An unpaid board of trustees governs the hospital. •The hospital service area encompasses about 80,000 people located between Yakima (to the West) and Tri-Cities (to the East). •25 Bed critical access hospital, and Designated Cardiac Level 1 Trauma Facility. •8 primary care clinics, 11 specialty/allied health clinics. Located in Sunnyside and Yakima. *It was announced in December 2016, the hospital will purchase Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center, Toppenish Community Hospital, and their associated physician clinics and outpatient services. When the transaction is complete, the agreement will expand access and build an even stronger network of care for people in the region.
