Physician Assistant Jobs in Ohio
A Physician Assistant (PA) is a key contributor in the advanced practitioner industry, providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services under the supervision of physicians and surgeons. Essential certifications include a license from the state in which they practice, and certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, individuals typically have experience in roles such as a Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). This healthcare experience is often a prerequisite for admission into a PA program, which culminates in a Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
