Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: 07/12/2026
• End Date: 6-12 month contract
• Schedule: 8-hour days (Monday-Friday), weekend coverage, 24-hour shifts
• Call Schedule: potential call and 24-hour shifts

Clinical Details

• EMR System: EPIC
• Practice Settings: Inpatient only (coverage across two sites)
• Patients Per Day: 10
• Trauma Level: Level 1
• Will be working autonomously
• Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent/Adult/Geriatric
• Required Duties: Pre-Op Physical Exams; Suture Removal; Diagnose Illnesses; Treat Illnesses; Order Tests; Interpret Tests; Assist in Surgery; Write Prescriptions; Coordination of Care; Rounding
• Required Procedures: Placement of Central Venous and Dialysis Catheters; Placement of Arterial Lines and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps; Endoscopic Retrieval
  • No balloon pumps

Requirements

• Board: NCCPA (Board Certified)
• Certifications: ACLS; BLS
• Licenses: Connecticut
• Epic experience - Preferred
• 1 Year of experience
• Able to Perform All Required Duties and Procedures
• Start by middle of July
• Must be able to cover both locations
• Local candidates only
